Prospectus

The full exhibition prospectus can be found here, and it is each student’s responsibility to read it thoroughly before submitting artwork.

This page provides the key information needed to prepare and submit your work. Students are expected to read all details below before proceeding to the submission form to ensure their entries meet the stated guidelines and requirements.

Important Dates

Artwork Submission Deadline

Notification of Juror’s Decision

Monday, January 26

If your artwork is accepted, you will receive detailed instructions on how and when to deliver your artwork to the gallery.

Artwork Dropoff

Monday, February 2 &
Tuesday, February 3

Committee has discretion to reject pieces based on quality of presentation

Artwork Eligibility Requirements

  • Open to any BSU student currently or previously enrolled in a School of Art course
  • Artworks must have been created while the student was enrolled at BSU (no work from high school)
  • Submissions must not have been exhibited in a previous School of Art Annual Student Art Show

Entry Fees

  • Students may submit up to three (3) artworks for consideration
  • The fee is $5 per entry (non-refundable) and will be charged to their Bursar account through Student Financial Services. For collaborative projects, one student will need to be the ‘point person’ and the submission will count towards their three submissions.

Information Needed for Each Submission of Artwork

  • Title
  • Medium
  • Date
  • Size
  • Category
  • For 2D and 3D artwork:
    • JPEG or PNG image (up to 3 images per submission)
    • max 15 MB per image
  • For 4D artwork (video and animation):
    • One JPEG or PNG cover image (Max 15MB)
    • Duration
    • A link for adjudication through Vimeo or YouTube (A digital file will be required, if accepted)
  • Contributors/Collaborators (if applicable)
